Dropped by here for a drink, and decided on the Strawberry Matcha Latte (pictured). Been on a matcha kick, and this place did not disappoint. The matcha was not grainy or muddy tasting.. iykyk. It's not ceremonial grade (which is fine because it's a latte and not straight matcha), but it definitely had that clean and viscous texture close to ceremonial grade matcha.. and that's hard to come by! So big props to that. Also, the strawberry was not overpowering either.. and that's perfect. The service was kind, and quick. Lots of inside and outdoor seating. Comfy AC too. Noticed a lot of people getting baked goods and sandwiches, looked good, will have to try on the next visit.

This is a cute Japanese fusion café in lake forest. I've had multiple people recommend me to brio brio and since I was in the area, I knew I wanted to try it! It wasn't one of the recommended menu items but the mentai grilled cheese really hit the spot for me! I love seafood so the mentai/fish eggs was a delicious addition to a grilled cheese. Sandwiches are make with shokupan, Japanese milk bread, which was perfect. It was soft and sweet with a lightly crispy outside texture. Would like to come back and try some of their matcha drinks and pastries next time!

Brio Brio is a Japanese cafe located in a small plaza. It is modern, warm, and clean. Opens daily 8:00am to 3:00pm, so make sure you know it's a breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot. We ordered two sandwiches and two drinks. We shared them(already cut in halves). Portions are large, ingredients are fresh, and Brio Brio use tasty and high quality bagels and sandwiches. Taste of drinks and food are just perfect. Orders are taken at front and they will call your order number when it's ready! Will be back for lunch!

This was a nice meal with my family! We went on a Monday(memorial day) around noon and there was line out the door. You have to order up front and find a seat afterwards. You also have to get your own food and bus your table. The location is pretty small with both outdoor and indoor seating. We find seating pretty quickly though! I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and it came with a salad. I enjoyed it a lot. It was warm and yummy. I love japanese toast. I also liked the dressing on the salad. I got the strawberry matcha with oat milk as well which was good. The drinks come out faster than the food so you might end up finishing your drink before your food comes out. They only have a few people making your food so it does take a while. We got a few pastry items as well and they were delicious. Overall a good meal and would come again! I want to try the cheesecake.
